Privacy Policy
This page explains what data is collected, how uploaded files and transcripts are processed, and how users can request or perform deletion.

1. Information we collect
We collect account information such as your email address, username, password authentication data, verification status, subscription plan, and billing-related account status.
We also process project data such as uploaded files, YouTube URLs, generated transcripts, timestamps, summaries, highlights, key moments, and project metadata.
2. Uploaded files and transcripts
Uploaded files and imported media are used to create transcripts and AI-generated outputs inside your account. Transcripts and AI outputs may be stored so you can view them later from your dashboard and results pages.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to upload or process the content you submit.
3. Third-party services
We use third-party providers to operate the service:
- AssemblyAI for transcription processing.
- OpenAI for AI summaries, highlights, and key moments.
- Stripe for checkout, subscriptions, billing portal access, and payment-related events.
- Brevo for transactional email sending.
- Cloudflare R2 or compatible storage may be used for production media storage.
4. Payments and billing
Payments, subscriptions, invoices, and billing portal access are handled by Stripe. We store billing status information such as your subscription plan, subscription status, Stripe customer ID, and subscription ID so the app can apply the correct plan limits and feature access.
5. Account and data deletion
You can delete your account from the account settings page. Account deletion is intended to remove your account and related app data, including projects, transcripts, AI outputs, and uploaded files linked to your uploads.
If you have an active paid subscription, cancel it in the billing portal before deleting your account so billing is not left active after account removal.
6. Data retention
Account, project, transcript, and uploaded file data may be retained while your account is active so the service can display your projects and results. Deleted accounts and related data are removed from the app where technically supported by the current system.
Some billing records, email delivery records, provider logs, or payment records may remain with third-party providers where required for security, fraud prevention, legal, tax, or operational reasons.
7. Security
We use environment variables for sensitive configuration and rely on trusted third-party providers for payments, email delivery, AI processing, and transcription. No online service can guarantee perfect security, but the service is designed to avoid exposing secrets in application code.
